Dear Wanderlust, The Series Continues

" Travel makes you modest. You see what a tiny place you occupy in the world, " - Gustav Flaubert. Dear Wanderlust, The series continues....... Meet Kelsey and her beautiful daughter! Last time your eyes were glued to this blog, you read about a daring, young woman who gave her life wings and travelled all the way to Spain from a tiny speck on the world map, known as Trinidad. Now moving there on your own is a whole experience in itself, but what if you moved with your immediate family too? Would that make you feel less homesick with them there? Let's find out in this interview with Kelsey, who moved to Vietnam - from Trinidad -  with her family. Yes, you read that correctly. V I E T N A M. 1. Location: Q. Where are you from originally and where did you move to? A. I was born and raised on the beautiful island of Trinidad and Tobago. As far as places to be born, T&T is as good as it gets. However, for a year now, my family and I have...

I tried Tasty's Fudgy Brownies Recipe

So i'm sure you've seen Tasty vids somewhere while you're scrolling through social media and probably was like , yea I would so try this when I get home. Then when you get home, you never do! I was like you once upon a time, until I actually tried one and i'm going to tell you all about it! So I didn't follow the exact recipe (I substituted some stuff) but it definitely came out fudgy and chewy and nice, just like how brownies should be! Here's the Tasty vid and here's what I did to achieve a version of Tasty's fudgy brownies! Ingredients: 3/4 cup of melted butter 1 cup of brown sugar 2 eggs 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract/essence 1 cup of flour 1 teaspoon of salt 1/4 cup of cocoa powder 1 bar of chocolate (cut up into small chunks) Other Things You'll Need: A baking dish ( I used an 8" x 8" glass dish). A knife (to cut up your chocolate). Measuring Cups (if you're into precision). A whisk (to mix everything tog...

Dear Wanderlust,

"Travel changes you. As you move through this life and this world you change things slightly, you leave marks behind, however small. And in return, life - and travel - leaves marks on you. Most of the time, those marks - on your body or on your heart - are beautiful. Often, though, they hurt" - Anthony Bourdain.  Dear Wanderlust,  Being a wanderlust is like sweet pain. You want to go see all the beautiful things the world has to offer and then you think about your family and home and how much you'll miss everyone and what if this happens when I'm gone and it goes on and on.........until you're sitting in your recliner and telling your grandchildren that your biggest regret was not stepping on that plane. Sorry for my lil rant there guys, but I'm writing this post for me too, LOL. I do have a deep desire to travel and see the world - alone if I have to - but it's a constant battle of what if I do and what if I don't.  Recently, I di...

My Natural Makeup Look

Rushing to get out of the house every morning usually leaves my face on empty. Not always from tiredness. In this instance, I mean with no makeup. I'm ok with leaving the house with no makeup on, honestly. I mean I have been doing it all my life, because I couldn't wear makeup to school, so there's that. But some days when I have to meet a client or just have a little extra time to get ready in the morning, I have a quick routine that has my face looking fresh and as close to my natural face as possible. So here's a step by step guide and a list of all the products I use to achieve it: Step 1: Fill me up: Eyebrows. I use an Arista eyeshadow single in the shade Matte Brown (available in Pennywise for $8.00 - $10.00 TT) and a very tiny angle brush and eyebrow comb/brush. I do not do anything super extravagant or do any shape that is not the natural shape of my brow and I only fill in spaces that aren't so full (with regular eyebrow hair). When my eyebrows are...
